What would be the tuition fee in Germany?

Very helpful fact is Germany is offering free education and they do charge a nominal tuition fee for issuing ID cards, Access card and for semester ticket for free transportation. If there are 100 Universities in Germany for example. Among these 100 universities 90% of the universities the maximum fee per semester is 500 Euros per semester (Approximately 40000 Rupees per Semester). In majority of cases the fee per semester will range from (10000 to 40000 rupees per semester). The remaining 10% of the university the fee will range from (2lakhs to 3 lakhs per semester)

Am I eligible for scholarships?

If your aggregate is above 85% in your bachelor degree and if you get more than 310 score in your GRE then you can apply for the scholarships 1 year before the course starts.

What are the intakes in Germany?

There are two intakes in Germany for Bachelor’s and Master’s. Winter semester (WS) which is a major intake starts in September or October every year. Second intake is a Summer Semester which will start in March or April every year.

When to apply for the master’s programs?

Germany is a place where the application process will take more time for admission process. It always advisable to apply well in advance. The deadlines for Winter Semester starting in September or October is until mid of July. The deadlines for Summer Semester starting in March or April is until mid of January.

Am I eligible to study in Germany?

What are the tests required to study in Germany?

All the German Universities require IELTS or TOEFL exam results. If a student get 6.5 bands in IELTS(equal to 90 in TOEFL) is eligible to apply for all the universities. Lots of universities accept 6 bands in IELTS (equal to 80 in TOEFL). Very few German Universities ask for GRE scores. There are very few universities in Germany ask for basic German Language Requirements like A1 and A2 levels of German Language certificates (Without German Language proficiency students can study in more than 240 universities of Germany)

For studying in Germany, is knowledge of German language compulsory?

The knowledge of German language is optional for getting admission in Master programs that are taught completely in English language.

What about Part time jobs in Germany?

Yes there are plenty of part time jobs available in on campus and off campus as well to cover their living expenses. Indian students are allowed to work for 120 full or 240 half days per year (20 hours/week). The payment will be between (8-13 Euros/Hour).

After successful completion of your program in Germany , your visa can be extended from Germany itself. You do not need to return to India for renewing your visa.
